Following are the variuos SVM commands used to create, monitor and remove metadevice

1. metaclear

This command is used to delete metadevices and also can be used to delete hot spare pools

2. metadb

This command is use to create and delete the state dabase replicas

3. metadetach

This command is use to detach a metadevice, typically removing one half of mirror

4. metadevadm

This command is use to update metadevice information

5. metahs

This command is use to manage hot spare devices and hot spare pools

6. metainit

This command is use to configure metadevices

7. metattach

This command is use to attach a metadevice typically used when creating mirror or adding additional mirror

8. metaoffline

This command is use to place submirror in an offline state

9. metaonline

This command is use to place submirrors in an online state

10. metareplace

This command is use to replace components of submirrors or RAID 5 metadevices.We can use metareplace when replacing fail disk drive

11. metarecover

This command is use to recover soft partition information

12. metaroot

This command is used to setup the system files for root metadevice. It adds entry to /etc/system and updates /etc/vfstab to reflect new device to use to mount the root (/) file system

13. metastat

Use to display the status of metadevice, all metadevices, or hot spare pools
